( NewsNation The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall for over 160,000 vehicles manufactured by Ford, Cadillac, and General Motors.
Here’s what you should be aware of regarding recall notices released by the company. NHTSA From March 31 through April 6.
Ford Motor Company
Over 105,000 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models from 2018 to 2020 were subject to a recall due to potential issues with the seatbelt pretensioners in the driver’s and/or front passenger seats. This problem could cause them to lock unexpectedly, thus inhibiting their ability to retract or extend properly.
Dealers will check the date codes of the seatbelt retractors and provide replacements at no cost. Vehicle owners will receive an official notice via mail starting April 14th.
Nissan
Nissan is recalling 37,003 of the 2025 Kicks because the certification might have been issued with incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings and Gross Axle Weight Ratings.
Dealers will provide replacement labels at no cost and send out new ones to owners via mail. The notification letters are scheduled to be dispatched on May 12.
Cadillac
General Motors has issued a recall for 10,643 of the 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ models. The issue stems from potential inaccuracies in the documentation regarding the car's head restraints.
GM will send the corrected owner’s manual insert via mail at no cost. The notification letters are scheduled to go out on May 12.
BMW
BMW is recalling certain 2025 model vehicles due to potential issues with the electrical link between the starter-generator and the battery possibly becoming disconnected.
The affected models include:
- 2025 330i
- 2025 330i xDrive
- 2025 530i
- 2025 530i xDrive
- 2025 4 Series Coupe (430i, 430i xDrive)
- 2025 4 Series Convertible (430i, 430i xDrive)
- 2025 4 Series Gran Coupe (430i, 430i xDrive)
- 2025 X3 30 xDrive
Dealers will examine and substitute the starter-generator along with the positive battery cable at no cost. Owners will receive notification letters starting May 23rd.
Honda
Honda is recalling 3,316 units of their 2024-2025 ADV160 scooters due to potential issues with the oil pump-driven gear, which might lead to a failure and consequently cause a loss of driving power.
Dealers will replace the oil pump-driven gear at no cost. The notification letters will be dispatched on May 26.
