
An accident on the southbound section of Interstate 295 resulted in substantial traffic delays during the weekday rush hour on Wednesday.
The accident occurred close to the Falmouth Spur. According to a report from a Maine's Total Coverage staff member, one lane was obstructed with the front part of a sedan stuck beneath the rear end of an SUV. The Maine State Police informed Maine's TotalCoverage that the collision included four cars.

By around 8:15 a.m., traffic had begun queuing up for a few miles, extending as far as the region near Tuttle Road in Falmouth. Just two hours later, at 8:45 a.m., the congestion stretched almost to Exit 17.

The police mentioned that all injuries seemed to be relatively slight.
